Domestic Gas Safety Appliances (Initial)

This course is for those candidates who wish to add additional appliances for the first time or Current Certificate of the same appliance category which has expired for more than 12 months

Course Structure

For each appliance Assessment can be completed in Half-day. 

Course Content
Upon completion of CCN1 (for new entrant learners, at least after 12 months of completing CCN1 for first time), the candidate can take the Appliance Assessment as required from the following:

• CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters
• CKR1 - Domestic Cookers
• HTR1 - Gas Fires & Wall Heaters
• MET1 – Meters

Prerequisite

• CCN1 Certificate of Competence 
• For training, assessment and experience refer to current Guidance Note 8 (ACS Entry routes and changeover requirements)
• Current Certificate of the same appliance category which has expired for more than 12 months

Achievement Upon Completion

Upon successful completion, the Candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from AdSkills Certification.
